Grants Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement grant strategies for a diverse portfolio of active clients.

• Emphasize client relations, opportunity management, and accountability for funding results.

• Manage more than 50 client accounts, ensuring timely delivery of applications to a high standard.

• Act as the main point of coordination for all grant-related activities.

• Keep track of federal and provincial funding programs pertinent to assigned clients.

• Provide guidance to clients on which funding opportunities to pursue or deprioritize based on their eligibility.

• Collaborate with internal and external grant writers and subject matter experts.

• Review and enhance drafts created by others for quality control, clarity, compliance, and effectiveness.

• Monitor deadlines, submission statuses, and outcomes across your portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in grants, funding advisory, or related fields.

• Demonstrated experience in managing a high volume of client accounts or projects concurrently.

• Strong skills in editing, reviewing, and quality control.

• Good understanding of Canadian government funding programs (including federal, provincial, municipal, and sector-specific opportunities).

• Proficient with technology and comfortable utilizing tools such as G Suite, CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot), and modern AI productivity tools.

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with startups or scale-ups is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with software, AI, med tech, cleantech, or advanced manufacturing is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment with shifting priorities.
