This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Perform comprehensive research to discover potential funding sources from government entities, foundations, corporations, and other avenues.
• Evaluate grant guidelines and prerequisites to assess alignment with client goals and needs.
• Work in partnership with clients and internal teams to create persuasive grant proposals, which include drafting narrative sections, preparing budgets, and collecting necessary documentation.
• Ensure proposals are articulate, convincing, and adhere to the requirements set by funders.
• Act as a liaison for clients, comprehending their funding needs and goals while offering strategic advice and support throughout the grant writing journey.
• Communicate effectively with clients to obtain essential information and respond to inquiries.
• Carry out detailed reviews and edits of grant proposals to verify accuracy, coherence, and compliance with funder expectations.
• Integrate feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to enhance proposals and boost their chances of success.
• Oversee grant proposal schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely submissions in line with funder guidelines.
• Proactively engage with clients and team members to avoid delays and resolve any potential issues that may arise.
• Must provide Monthly Grant Sheets for Monthly Clients.
• Build and nurture relationships with funders and grant makers, attend relevant meetings and events, and stay updated on funding trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members to utilize existing relationships and identify new funding opportunities.
• Keep precise records of grant activities, including proposal submissions, funding decisions, and reporting obligations.
• Prepare regular progress updates and reports for clients and senior management.
• Stay abreast of best practices and advancements in grant writing and related fields by attending training workshops and conferences, continuously enhancing expertise.
• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., English, Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management).
• Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in grant writing, ideally within a consulting or nonprofit environment.
• Knowledge & Skills: Shows intellectual curiosity and a commitment to ongoing learning by taking the initiative to broaden their expertise.
• Proven success in securing grants from a variety of funders.
• Exceptional writing and editing abilities, with a talent for crafting clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities, able to collect and synthesize information from various sources.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of developing relationships with clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel & Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook.
• Travel: Business-related travel may be required and can vary in frequency and scope, often on short notice.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a positive work environment.
