This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the mission of Ritter Center.
• Create and compose persuasive grant proposals, letters of intent, and reports in partnership with program staff and the Chief Development Officer.
• Oversee the entire grant process, including tracking submission deadlines, follow-ups, and overall management.
• Keep an organized calendar of grant deadlines and reporting obligations.
• Build and sustain relationships with grant-making organizations and foundations.
• Collaborate with finance and other staff members to collect necessary data for proposals and reports.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to all grant requirements and deliverables.
• Track and report on the progress of all private grant applications and awards, as well as any government reporting deadlines as needed.
• A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• At least three years of grant writing experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
• Demonstrated success in developing grant proposals and budgets.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
• In compliance with OSHA requirements, employment at Ritter Center mandates the submission of a negative TB test prior to starting employment, as well as vaccination against COVID-19 (unless an exemption is requested).
