This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Preparing, organizing, and managing all necessary documentation and records required for goods clearance through US customs.
• Liaising with vendors and government agencies while delivering exceptional customer service to both current and prospective clients.
• Completing customs documentation to guarantee the precise and timely import of shipments.
• Maintaining and updating customs clearance documentation regularly.
• Processing all entries in a compliant manner and handling documentation after the sales process concludes.
• Managing and assisting in resolving all customer inquiries and ensuring issues are addressed effectively.
• Conducting research and providing assistance with regulatory questions.
• Reviewing and monitoring customs clearances and any rejections.
• Preparing and filing customs forms with meticulous attention to detail.
• Handling customer information requests and all correspondence with government agencies.
• Ensuring that freight paperwork is completed and approved prior to transportation.
• Coordinating with various departments to maintain compliance with all import operations.
• Participating in ongoing training sessions within the Imports team.
• Keeping updated on all industry rules and regulations and fulfilling all customs duties.
• Acting as a backup for other Custom Entry Writer accounts as needed.
• Adhering to operational policies, standards, and procedures.
• Complying with company C-TPAT and TSA security protocols.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent).
• 5-7 years of experience in Custom Entry Writing within the Import/Export sector.
• Basic knowledge of logistics software, such as CargoWise.
• Familiarity with the harmonized tariff schedule.
• Advanced understanding of customs regulations and the requirements of other government agencies.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as random drug and/or alcohol tests.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
