Graduate Business Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• **Your Mission**

• Act as the reliable engine of the operations team. You will ensure a smooth flow of orders by identifying and resolving issues with those that may be stuck or lost. Additionally, you will respond to seller and operational inquiries, conduct our operational checks, and assist in developing AI skills and automations to reduce repetitive tasks for the team. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire order journey and, within a few months, begin to solve challenges independently.

• - **Maintain a smooth workflow:** Perform daily cross-system checks; identify and resolve or escalate orders that are missing, stuck, or mismatched.

• - **Assist sellers & partners:** Respond to operational tickets, run checks, and ensure invoices are created and sent accurately and punctually.

• - **Learn to innovate:** Leverage Claude to develop skills and automations that eliminate repetitive tasks, starting with the recruitment exercise and expanding from there.

• - **Enhance as you progress:** Continuously drive incremental improvements to the tools and processes you interact with daily.

• **What you'll achieve in your first 90 days**

• - Consistently run daily cross-system reconciliations and address order exceptions in your queue.

• - Respond to operational tickets within SLA and independently run the Bezos checkers.

• - Create your first functional Claude skill or small automation that saves time for the team.

• - Produce clean, timely work on a team project and begin navigating open-ended tasks with reduced supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• **What we're looking for (non-negotiables)**

• - Numerate & analytical. A degree (or equivalent demonstrated experience) in a quantitative field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or a quantitatively-focused economics/finance/social science discipline. Comfortable working with raw data and spreadsheets.

• - AI-native: capable of building, not just conversing. You actively use Claude/AI in your daily tasks and can create a simple, functioning Claude skill. A portfolio of production agents is not required at this stage, but you must show your ability to build one during the recruitment process. (Having prior experience in building skills/agents is a significant advantage.)

• - Dependable & receptive to coaching. Completes tasks as requested, punctually and accurately; seeks clarification when uncertain rather than making assumptions; responds positively to feedback.

• - Quick learner. Adapts to new tools and processes swiftly and becomes productive without an extended learning curve.

• - Enthusiastic about startups. Thrives in an environment of ambiguity, fast pace, and ownership; desires a broad role rather than a limited one.

• - Effective communicator. Clearly articulates written information, presents straightforward findings, and identifies issues early.

• **Nice-to-haves**

• - Experience from internships or part-time roles in consulting, banking, operations, analytics, e-commerce, or startups.

• - Basic coding skills (Python/SQL) or familiarity with no-code tools (Make, Zapier, Retool, Airtable).

• - Previous experience in developing a Claude skill, agent, or automation of your own.
