This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Assist in the implementation of ŌURA’s federal government relations strategy, emphasizing healthcare, human performance, access, and revenue-related policy matters.
• Collaborate closely with ŌURA’s Human Performance (HP) and healthcare teams to ensure that policy initiatives are in line with clinical, research, and corporate objectives.
• Track, evaluate, and convey pertinent legislative, regulatory, and political changes that may influence ŌURA’s business, partnerships, or growth potential.
• Create policy positions, advocacy documents, and briefings that simplify intricate healthcare and technology issues into clear, business-relevant insights.
• Establish and nurture relationships with Members of Congress, their staff, trade associations, federal agencies, and other essential external stakeholders to educate and advocate for ŌURA’s policy priorities.
• Coordinate and lead meetings, briefings, and engagements on Capitol Hill and with external partners as required.
• Aid in managing ŌURA's involvement in relevant trade associations, coalitions, and industry groups, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Navigate comfortably across various workstreams, stepping in to address emerging priorities, urgent issues, and cross-functional initiatives as the business evolves.
• Experience in healthcare policy, government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs, ideally within health tech, medtech, life sciences, or a similar field.
• Proven experience engaging with Congress, federal agencies, and trade associations.
• Strong comprehension of how public policy interacts with business strategy, enterprise partnerships, and revenue expansion.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and interpret policy developments into actionable recommendations for business teams.
• Skilled at balancing strategic priorities with practical execution in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Based in DC, with travel as necessary, and regularly engaging on Capitol Hill.
