This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +7 more states.
• Promote the full range of Abbott Diabetes Care products to regional government accounts.
• Establish new business with healthcare providers in specified regional accounts.
• Increase sales within the existing customer base.
• Identify customer needs and formulate account-specific strategies.
• Foster customer commitment to change.
• Execute conversion, training, and start-up activities following a successful sales close.
• Market to federal government medical centers, including Department of Defense medical treatment facilities, VA medical centers, Indian Health Tribes, public health agencies, and payors.
• Propel cross-divisional initiatives, enhance market share, and achieve quarterly sales objectives.
• Efficiently manage territory and training implementations.
• Extend outreach into primary care sectors.
• Deliver account management and customer support.
• Oversee the assigned budget to maximize return on investment.
• Implement and uphold quality system effectiveness.
• Evaluate the business impact of contracting opportunities on profitability, sales, and margins.
• Cultivate regional government-account business.
• Engage in weekly travel and conduct appointments with targeted facilities and healthcare/pharmacy administration.
• Execute territory strategic planning and conduct semi-annual business reviews.
• Prepare precise forecasts and customer business plans.
• Drive sales and distribution of new products.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Health Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• 3.0 to 5.0 years of demonstrated successful sales experience at Abbott Laboratories or a comparable organization.
• Typically, 4+ years of successful sales experience for candidates from outside Abbott Laboratories.
• High proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
• Prior sales experience with VA, DoD, or Indian Health.
• A military background or a family history in Military Service is preferred.
• Experience in Managed Care.
• Strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and contract/legal experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation and listening capabilities.
• High energy level, positive demeanor, and self-assurance.
