This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho, +6 more states.
• Promote the complete range of Abbott Diabetes Care products to regional government accounts.
• Establish new business relationships with healthcare providers within designated regional accounts.
• Oversee regional and local market access strategies.
• Increase sales within the existing customer base.
• Identify customer requirements and formulate account-specific strategies.
• Foster customer commitment to effect change.
• Execute conversion, training, and startup activities post-sale closure.
• Market to Federal Government Medical Centers, including Department of Defense medical treatment facilities, VA Medical Centers, Indian Health Tribes, public health agencies, and payors.
• Enhance access, expand market share, and surpass quarterly sales targets.
• Manage the territory while ensuring effective implementation and training processes.
• Broaden outreach into primary care sectors.
• Oversee accounts and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Administer the assigned budget and optimize return on investment.
• Implement and uphold the effectiveness of quality systems.
• Evaluate the business impact of contracting opportunities on profitability, sales, and margins.
• Cultivate regional government account business.
• Conduct weekly travel and meetings with targeted facilities and healthcare/pharmacy administration.
• Engage in territory strategic planning and conduct semi-annual business reviews.
• Prepare accurate forecasts and customer business plans.
• Propel new product sales and distribution efforts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Science Liaisons, Network Field Specialists, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Contract Marketing, and Account Sales & Service.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Health Sciences, or equivalent experience.
• High level of proficiency in computer usage.
• Capability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office.
• 3.0 to 5.0 years of demonstrated successful sales experience at Abbott Laboratories or equivalent.
• Generally, 4+ years of successful sales experience for candidates from outside Abbott Laboratories.
• Previous sales experience with VA, DoD, or Indian Health.
• Military background or a family history of military service.
• Experience in Managed Care.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient negotiation skills.
• Experience with contracts and legal matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including presentation and listening skills.
