This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Develop and continuously refine the global Contract Logistics technology strategy to align with business growth goals and the overarching digital transformation agenda. Convert regional and customer-specific logistics requirements into scalable and future-ready technology solutions.
• Create a multi-year roadmap for digital solutions and platforms, encompassing WMS, TMS, automation tools, visibility systems, analytics platforms, and customer-facing interfaces.
• Represent regional interests in technology forums and act as the spokesperson for the Technology group during business discussions.
• Establish and monitor global KPIs, OKRs, and success metrics to evaluate platform performance, adoption rates, and delivery of business value.
• Serve as the regional advocate within global technology forums and represent the Technology organization during Contract Logistics business discussions, promoting cross-regional alignment and sharing of best practices to enhance value realization.
• Cultivate a robust community of super users across regions to ensure adequate knowledge levels and coordinate contributions to WMS enhancements and roadmap prioritization.
• Assist in change management and training initiatives to ensure seamless transitions during system upgrades and new deployments.
• Assume the role of global owner for WMS and TMS strategy, ensuring adherence to consistent deployment standards, scalability, and alignment with business processes.
• Manage the prioritization of system enhancements and provide guidance for product development and interactions with vendors.
• Promote harmonization and minimize customizations through the adoption of standardized solutions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, data governance, and IT security standards across all platforms.
• Keep abreast of emerging Contract Logistics technology trends and recommend innovations that could offer a competitive edge in collaboration with the global Automation and Innovation group.
• Facilitate the sharing of best practices among regions and identify opportunities for system optimization and standardization.
• A minimum of 10 years in Contract Logistics, with at least 5 years of experience in IT or digital transformation roles.
• Demonstrated success in managing WMS systems at scale (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Infor, etc.).
• Preferred global/regional experience within a multinational logistics or supply chain organization.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and effective communication.
• In-depth knowledge of Contract Logistics operations and the impact of digital tools on productivity, visibility, and service quality.
• A business-oriented mindset that enables collaboration and co-creation with both technical and operational leaders.
• Experience in project leadership, particularly in large-scale WMS implementations.
