Global Value Pricing and Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Oversee the annual budget planning and tracking for intricate, value-based fee structures, ensuring immediate visibility into financial outcomes.

• Serve as the main financial advisor to Partners and client stakeholders regarding budget development, expenditure optimization, and fee structures.

• Create, manage, and report on budgets for multi-jurisdictional matters in collaboration with the Global Billing Coordinator, ensuring adherence to client OCGs.

• Oversee the complete project lifecycle for extensive, cross-border client initiatives across more than 50 countries, with established governance and reporting protocols.

• Coordinate interdisciplinary teams (internal lawyers, local counsel, ALSPs, technology) across various time zones and workstreams.

• Actively identify and address project risks, scheduling conflicts, and resource shortages.

• Enhance client relationship management through consistent reporting, governance meetings, and the preparation of materials for partner and executive forums.

• Develop communications and presentations for leadership, showcasing strong strategic analysis and insights.

• Identify, implement, and integrate AI-driven and legal technology solutions to boost efficiency, quality, and matter management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management/pricing and legal project management within a law firm, in-house legal department, or ALSP setting.

• Extensive knowledge in legal matter budgeting, AFAs, compliance with outside counsel guidelines, and/or legal financial reporting.

• Outstanding communication abilities, capable of preparing and delivering presentations to senior client and firm leadership.

• High level of proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, CoPilot (or similar tools), and AI applications for project management and workflow.

• Proven experience managing multi-jurisdictional legal budgets with significant budgetary responsibility.

• Experience in client service-focused roles or embedded legal operations positions.

• Familiarity with cross-border regulatory, M&A, or commercial issues.

• Basic understanding of legal AI platforms such as Harvey, Legora, or similar tools.
