Global Trade Operations Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee US import/export documentation, broker instructions, export filings, and ensure compliance with entry regulations.

• Establish and maintain relationships with US Customs brokers to streamline daily imports.

• Manage key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

• Collaborate with destination sites and origin partners on CTPAT qualifications and processes.

• Utilize AES Direct, Livingston’s Tradesphere, and other Trade Management Systems for EEI filing and customs clearance.

• Document and convey import/export-related job aids and requirements.

• Assist with critical projects and support other teams within Cardinal Health.

• Carry out additional assigned projects as needed.

• Apply extensive knowledge to diverse tasks and intricate projects.

• Innovate technical solutions and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

• Work autonomously with general guidance while mentoring junior colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–8 years of relevant experience is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Proficient in filing US import and export declarations.

• Familiarity with NRC- and DEA-regulated exports.

• Experience in importing pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

• Knowledgeable in handling shipments of radioactive hazardous materials.

• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Experience in drafting standard operating procedures.

• Background in implementing C-TPAT programs at the destination-site level.
