Global Technical Manager – Sterilization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Supervise the sterilization processes associated with medical devices.

• Offer technical assistance regarding sterilization for all certification schemes.

• Serve as the line manager, guiding the team of MDR Product Assessors specializing in Sterilization.

• Provide technical guidance on sterilization to facilitate all phases of the medical device conformity assessment process.

• Set competence standards and maintain training programs for Product Assessors and sterilization auditors.

• Create and execute documentation for the sterilization Quality Management System (QMS).

• Oversee the development and implementation of personnel approval procedures.

• Propel team performance to meet global objectives.

• Track and report on team performance metrics.

• Lead decision-making processes and ensure the resolution of operational challenges.

• Foster a culture of accountability and high performance within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in the medical device industry.

• A minimum of 5 years in sterile medical device research and development and/or manufacturing.

• 5 years as a Lead Auditor/Product Assessor for MDR and/or IVDR medical devices within a Notified Body.

• 2 years of experience in a leadership capacity.

• Proven experience in technical decision-making and expert-level problem-solving.

• Background in competence management, training, or qualification of technical staff.

• Experience in supporting or leading global or cross-functional teams.
