This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Employ various physical security asset monitoring and surveillance systems to identify potential unauthorized access, suspicious activities, or other security incidents.
• Oversee open-source threat intelligence and other internal SaaS tools to keep situational awareness of ongoing or emergency global events that may impact operations.
• Assist in access control and visitor management processes.
• Handle security-related service calls and offer general guidance to employees, vendors, and guests.
• Stay informed about business travelers and personnel accessing Twilio facilities.
• Collaborate with local site security teams to escalate and dispatch resources for incident and alarm responses.
• Review travel requests to high-risk locations, assist travelers through the approval process, and cross-reference live itineraries with external incidents.
• Serve as the initial point of incident intake during various emergencies, including medical emergencies, natural disasters, fire/evacuations, travel disruptions, and security incidents.
• Evaluate and triage events and incidents to assess their impact on operations.
• Coordinate and dispatch responses with emergency personnel.
• Effectively communicate emerging incidents to large audiences to provide situational awareness or tactical updates as necessary.
• Maintain real-time documentation of incidents for reporting and analysis.
• Conduct Life-Safety checks for Twilio in areas affected by potentially life-threatening conditions.
• Engage in post-incident reviews to document and implement corrective actions and enhancements for future responses.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of security and emergency standard operating procedures.
• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze situations and implement appropriate solutions.
• Support significant projects aimed at enhancing Twilio’s GSOC capabilities and initiatives.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a GSOC working environment.
• Familiarity with physical safety and security technologies, systems (ACS, IDS, VSS, VMS), travel safety, and mass notification tools.
• Experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) research tools.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to standard operating procedures and playbooks.
• Capability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and think clearly in high-stress situations.
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, with clarity and conciseness.
• Willingness to work 'non-standard' shift hours to align with colleagues and stakeholders in other global locations, including weekends and holidays.
