This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Accountable for the strategic planning, development, and execution of global publication initiatives within designated therapeutic areas.
• Ensures consistency with the Global Publication Plans and overarching Medical Strategies, while maintaining the highest scientific and ethical standards.
• Spearhead the execution of the global publication strategy for designated products and indications, incorporating HQ-driven and affiliate-supported publications.
• Oversee the comprehensive publication process: from concept development and author engagement to internal review and submission of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
• Manage multiple publication projects simultaneously in accordance with GPP, ICMJE, and internal SOP requirements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Biostatistics, and external partners to ensure scientific precision and alignment.
• Represent the publication function in both internal and external meetings, including Joint Publication Teams with partner companies.
• Maintain publication tracking systems and provide regular updates to the Global Publication Team.
• Assist in the annual global publication workshop and contribute to the development of best practices.
• Master's degree in life sciences or other relevant medical fields; a PhD is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in publication management and expertise in publication tracking tools (e.g., Pubstrat).
• Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech sector (e.g., Medical Affairs/Scientific Communications/Clinical or Preclinical Sciences, etc.) or a medical communications agency supporting global pharma clients.
• Experience working in the U.S. or at a U.S. affiliate is essential.
• CMPP certification is a plus.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, capable of managing multiple assets concurrently in a complex, matrix environment.
• Proficient in developing and accurately evaluating and analyzing medical/scientific publications and literature.
• Exceptional project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
