This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide instruction to students across various grade levels in digital educational environments.
• Identify instructional techniques, strategies, and methods, and customize curriculum and learning styles to meet student needs.
• Engage with parents/guardians regarding academic and disciplinary matters through phone calls, written communication, progress reports, and other media.
• Carry out clerical tasks, including documenting communications in the SIS and finalizing student grades.
• Create activities, resources, strategies, methods, and lesson plans that align with learning objectives and school guidelines.
• Evaluate and assess student performance, behavior, progress, and understanding of learning goals.
• Uphold the confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Contribute to personal and professional development for oneself and colleagues while staying updated with educational trends.
• Collaborate effectively to fulfill the overarching goals of the school program.
• Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Adhere to regular and predictable attendance requirements as designated by the manager.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post-Bachelor's in Education from an accredited college or university.
• A valid State Teaching Certificate from any state; specific endorsements may be required based on the teaching area.
• Successful completion of the relevant AEPA or NES proficiency exams, if applicable.
• Professional verification of effective classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
• A combination of experience, training, and/or education may be considered equivalent.
• A satisfactory criminal background check.
• An active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to communicate effectively, maintain a professional demeanor, and demonstrate initiative.
• Strong theoretical understanding of human behavior and learning, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to collaborate with teachers, parents, students, alumni, corporate partners, vendors, and admissions staff.
• Demonstrated ability to report regularly and on time.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills and a commitment to self-directed learning.
• Capability to utilize instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses.
• Proficiency in technology, including computers and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Must fulfill the physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
