Global Medical Affairs Strategy Lead

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with R&D, Commercial, Access, and Corporate Communications to develop pipeline and portfolio strategies, ensuring that medical plans align with portfolio objectives.

• Act as the primary medical representative on clinical development and study execution teams, offering scientific and medical expertise to assist in cross-functional deliverables such as early development strategy, trial designs, and recruitment efforts.

• Responsible for creating the integrated medical evidence plan for early pipeline assets, including therapeutic and diagnostic agents.

• Manage the medical communication strategy and its implementation in publications, congress planning, advisory boards, and engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs).

• Provide medical leadership across the medical matrix team, encompassing medical positioning, field medical engagement, and external education initiatives.

• Interact with prominent external thought leaders, medical organizations, and patient advocacy groups to inform strategic direction and maintain scientific integrity.

• Mentor and develop medical personnel within a matrixed environment.

• Utilize AI to enhance program, portfolio, or functional performance through prioritization and widespread adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• MD, DO, PharmD, or PhD (or equivalent scientific or medical training).

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in medical affairs within the oncology pharmaceutical/biotech sector.

• Preference for candidates with experience in radiopharmaceuticals and/or gastrointestinal cancer.

• Proven track record of collaboration with clinical development, corporate communications, and commercial teams to provide medical leadership on organizational goals.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing a global medical strategy, including medical evidence generation and scientific narrative/medical communications.

• Established ability to lead the global cross-functional medical matrix team in implementing the global/US strategy.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capacity to influence and establish credibility with senior leadership and the global scientific community.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by strategic thinking, business acumen, and a readiness to actively contribute to execution efforts.
