• The Global Marketing Manager is tasked with overseeing the entire product lifecycle for designated product lines, from strategic planning to commercial execution.
• This position merges upstream strategic marketing with downstream commercial marketing to guarantee the effective development, launch, and sustained growth of Meridian’s products on a global scale.
• The role collaborates cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Regulatory to convert market insights into actionable strategies that enhance revenue performance.
• Strong business ownership, collaboration, and execution are essential to meet global growth objectives in this role.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle, encompassing market assessment, product positioning, launch execution, and optimization of in-market performance.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Regulatory, and R&D to facilitate pipeline development, business cases, and product requirements.
• Spearhead global product launches, ensuring commercial readiness, training, forecasting, and alignment across regions.
• Create and implement global marketing plans that align with revenue and profitability objectives.
• Establish segmentation, targeting, positioning, and value propositions informed by market insights.
• Perform market, customer, and competitive analyses to guide strategy and product direction.
• Assist in pricing strategy and product portfolio decisions.
• Design and execute tactical marketing programs to stimulate demand, adoption, and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with sales teams to facilitate execution through tools, messaging, and training.
• Track KPIs (revenue, win/loss, funnel metrics) and modify strategies as necessary.
• Work alongside Marketing Communications on campaigns, promotions, and content creation.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Regulatory, Operations, Finance, and Technical Support to ensure priority alignment.
• Serve as a product expert both internally and externally.
• Aid in KOL development and customer engagement initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement product strategies and launches.
• Influence stakeholders globally without direct authority.
• Establish strong relationships with commercial teams and key customers.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing within the medical device sector is required.
• IVD experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with marketing plans and/or product launches is preferred.
• Experience in product launches and lifecycle management is advantageous.
• Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities are essential.
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable execution.
• A commitment to collaborating with the team to meet annual objectives and a desire for personal growth within the company.
• Capability to support and guide the sales team during the selling process.
• Previous experience and understanding of the roles and expectations of sales and marketing in an IVD-focused organization are important.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• A self-motivated individual who can work under pressure and meet deadlines is required.
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word and Excel) is needed.
• Willingness and ability to learn technical subjects to enhance influence in marketing programs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others, particularly with R&D, cross-functional partners, sales, high-level customers, and management.
• Must be a self-starter, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks, along with meeting strict deadlines and performing under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
• Additional hours outside of the normal work shift may be required to meet departmental goals (including evenings and weekends).
