This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead the creation of cost-effective, competitive shipping solutions that prioritize customer experience while balancing cost and operational efficiency.
• Take ownership of and enhance the end-to-end delivery experience, focusing on estimated delivery promises, shipment visibility, predictive modeling for delays and notifications, and logistics-related experiences.
• Develop, refine, and monitor vendor performance metrics as well as internal US-specific KPIs.
• Provide guidance and constructive feedback to the Global Logistics team to promote execution excellence and consistent improvements in the delivery experience.
• Lead US delivery projects, risk mitigation strategies, and deliverable management.
• Mentor junior team members to ensure a uniform understanding of processes, systems, compliance requirements, and more.
• Act as a subject matter expert, showcasing extensive knowledge of market dynamics, cultural considerations, logistics regulations and policies, clearance procedures, and carrier capabilities.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with vendors to address delivery-related challenges and pinpoint opportunities for collaborative projects/initiatives that foster mutual growth.
• Innovate and develop new, forward-thinking delivery programs/products within the assigned shipping lane(s).
• Establish new processes and continually enhance existing ones for the designated lanes and carriers.
• Conduct research, collect, and analyze data for assigned lanes and projects, converting insights into actionable recommendations.
• Actively seek and define new opportunities to enhance customer service and business processes.
• Maintain and audit TMS vendor rates and routings, lead times, pick-up times, VAT, tracking mapping, and shipping content.
• Proactively delve into underlying issues to identify root causes and implement long-term, systemic solutions that enhance delivery reliability and efficiency.
• Pursue improvements in processes between the Global Logistics team and both internal and external partners.
• Conduct audits, adhere to internal compliance processes, review logistics operations, and assist with the contract process alongside the Leadership team when necessary.
• Perform site visits at carrier facilities and attend team meetings in person when required.
• Provide support for designated projects as needed.
• Typically requires a minimum of 7+ years of experience in a logistics setting, with extensive knowledge of transportation economics and supply chain dynamics.
• A Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in enhancing delivery networks for direct-to-consumer shipping solutions to optimize transportation costs, speed, and customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with the e-Commerce environment and a deep understanding of the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) landscape.
• A track record of successful negotiations with complex carriers, including contract reviews.
• Utilizes sound judgment and experience to plan and execute effectively, balancing the trade-offs between cost, speed, and customer experience.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement new analytical models and tools that enable data-driven decisions, optimizing costs, service, and delivery experiences.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage complex project goals and provide timely updates.
• Capability to coordinate and guide the work of a geographically dispersed team across different time zones while fostering a positive team environment.
• Proficient in analyzing and evaluating complex information to identify optimal solutions.
• Solid vendor management experience to ensure success for the end consumer.
• Experience in training and developing team members.
• Highly skilled in all Microsoft Office applications, including Google Docs, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
