Global Lead, AI for Programmatic Impact

Posted 1 day ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• The primary focus of this role is to assist network partners in leveraging AI to enhance and amplify their impact. This individual will closely monitor partner innovations, aid in their further innovations, and ensure that these processes are conducted safely, which encompasses:

• One-on-one advisory and consulting support: Regularly meet with partners to comprehend their AI aspirations and challenges, offering customized guidance, and assisting them in developing and refining their AI strategies and practices.

• Learning experiences and community spaces: Collaborate with others to create and facilitate both virtual and in-person learning communities and gatherings for CEOs, technology heads, and other leaders on subjects such as child safety, AI innovation, and AI policy.

• Capturing and sharing insights: Actively learn from partner innovations throughout the network and provide essential insights, case studies, and resources via the network portal; connect partners exploring similar issues to foster mutual learning.

• Collaboration with programmatic specialists: Partner with functional specialists (e.g., in teacher training, alumni, selection) to infuse an AI perspective into their communities and stimulate discussions on how AI can enhance specific programmatic functions.

• Build and buy guidance: Work with IT colleagues to assist partners in deciding what to develop versus what to purchase; remain updated on the landscape of AI tools and present recommendations for technologies that could meet common partner needs.

• Subgrant fund: Investigate the potential of establishing a fund to support partners' AI innovations, collaborating with colleagues on the sub-granting team to define the fund's parameters and serve as the programmatic lead.

• Network standard for responsible AI use: Ensure that partners have access to the resources, frameworks, and support necessary to comply with Teach For All's network standards for safe and values-aligned AI utilization, including topics like child safeguarding, data privacy, and AI governance.

• AI innovation is taking place throughout Teach For All's global organization. This role will facilitate the integration of these efforts to avoid silos: Bring together individuals across our organization working on AI (e.g., teachers, alumni, cross-border learning, internal team tech innovation, and more) to ensure holistic advancement and transparent communication regarding our collective progress.

• Inspire and connect internal teams, highlighting what we are each learning and identifying opportunities for enhanced coherence and collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of experience in AI, technology, or programmatic roles, preferably on a global scale and in diverse, low bandwidth environments.

• A graduate of a Teach For All network partner organization, or someone who has worked closely with a network partner, is strongly preferred. A thorough understanding of our programmatic work and the contexts in which our partners operate is crucial.

• Proven understanding of AI tools, technologies, and their real-world applications, with the capability to bridge technical and programmatic content for diverse audiences, including those without a technical background.

• Strong coaching and consulting abilities, with a demonstrated track record of supporting leaders and organizations in their growth and improvement through robust relationships and expertise.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven capacity to cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders across various cultures and differences.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead group calls, facilitate virtual and in-person gatherings, and produce clear and impactful written knowledge products. Proficiency in English is required, with additional language skills preferred.

• A genuine passion for strategic, complex challenges, with a demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, identify opportunities, and implement innovative and culturally responsive solutions.

• A deep personal commitment to and nuanced understanding of Teach For All's purpose, theory of change, Unifying Principles, and Core Values, with the capacity to foster understanding and investment among diverse stakeholders.

• Experience with or a strong interest in the ethical aspects of AI, including equity, data privacy, and child safeguarding. Experience in designing learning experiences across various cultural and linguistic backgrounds is a significant advantage.

🏝️ Benefits

• A commitment to fostering a culture where all staff members feel a sense of belonging, are valued for their contributions, and can impact our organization's progress.

• Opportunities for both professional and personal development, along with numerous chances to make a positive impact on the work of Teach For All and beyond.

• A comprehensive benefits package tailored for your well-being and work-life balance.

• Generous time off and flexible work arrangements.

• And much more!
