This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team comprising approximately 50 employees, including 3 senior management personnel at the Head level.
• Overall responsibility for the advancement of the global Product Operations function and ensuring efficient and regulatory-compliant quality processes.
• Accountability for the management and continuous optimization of quality-related end-to-end processes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Monitoring and managing market complaints, returns, and recall activities while considering regulatory requirements and economic impacts.
• Central point of contact for quality-related escalations and coordination of cross-departmental problem-solving and decision-making processes.
• Conducting and evaluating risk analyses and deriving appropriate measures for risk mitigation.
• Ensuring compliance with international regulatory requirements as well as relevant GMP and GDP guidelines.
• Development and implementation of sustainable measures for the continuous improvement of processes, structures, and quality standards.
• Responsibility for budget planning, resource management, and prioritization within the area of responsibility.
• Close collaboration with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other international interfaces.
• Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service providers, and authorities.
• Promotion of innovative approaches and utilization of modern digital solutions to further professionalize and enhance the efficiency of the organization.
• Successfully completed a scientific degree, such as Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a comparable qualification.
• Over 10 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a regulated environment.
• Extensive experience in both professional and disciplinary leadership of international and cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical quality management and handling of market complaints, returns, recalls, and quality-related escalations.
• Very good knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and international GMP and GDP guidelines.
• Experience in analyzing quality-related metrics and developing data-driven strategies and improvement measures.
• Strong skills in stakeholder and escalation management at various hierarchy levels.
• High level of strategic thinking, decisiveness, and action orientation.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic work approach.
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as experience in international matrix organizations.
