This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation, implementation, governance, and adherence to the company's global grants and incentives process.

• Identify, analyze, interpret, and assess grants, incentives, tax credits, loans, and various global funding options.

• Keep track of legislative, regulatory, and economic development trends, advising leaders on potential opportunities, requirements, and risks.

• Act as the company’s subject-matter expert on grants and incentives.

• Manage incentive opportunities from initial intake through to award and ongoing compliance.

• Develop project plans, set priorities, outline decision points, establish documentation standards, timelines, and assign stakeholder accountability.

• Organize regular project meetings with internal teams and external consultants.

• Lead the preparation and submission of incentive applications, business cases, financial analyses, agreements, reporting packages, and compliance documentation.

• Engage in negotiations with public authorities, economic development agencies, and external partners.

• Supervise cross-functional and cross-regional workstreams involving Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR, Treasury, Legal, Tax, Accounting, Corporate Development, and other departments.

• Create and uphold global process governance, controls, documentation, reporting, escalation protocols, and audit readiness.

• Manage the grants and incentives portfolio, databases, reporting calendars, and performance metrics.

• Monitor the financial performance of the portfolio and return on investment; provide forecasts, insights, and recommendations to leadership.

• Ensure compliance for awarded incentives, encompassing submissions, records, benefit validation, audit support, and issue resolution.

• Chair or facilitate steering committees and stakeholder groups.

• Prepare and present presentations, portfolio reports, and decision-making materials.

• Direct external consultants and professional advisors.

• Promote continuous improvement, standardization, training, and adoption of grants and incentives processes and tools.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Law, or a related field is required.

• An advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in grants and incentives, tax credits, public funding, economic development, finance, accounting, government affairs, or a related area.

• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects.

• Background in evaluating, securing, negotiating, and managing significant grants or incentive opportunities.

• Experience ensuring ongoing compliance with award stipulations.

• Strong financial and business acumen.

• Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, assess return on investment, forecast benefits, and convert complex information into actionable recommendations.

• Capability to influence senior leaders and navigate a matrix organization.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and build relationships with government authorities, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, written communication, and executive presentation skills.

• Experience in a global, multi-region, multi-site, manufacturing, or similarly complex organization is preferred.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, databases, reporting and visualization tools, and document management systems.
