This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Strategic development and implementation of a global ESG strategy aligned with corporate objectives and industry best practices.
• Leadership and coordination of the global ESG committee, ensuring the integration of ESG priorities into business decisions and operational processes.
• Management of climate-related initiatives, particularly aimed at reducing Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
• Responsibility for alignment with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and climate transition planning.
• Addressing customer-driven requirements in decarbonization and sustainability.
• Definition and implementation of ESG standards for suppliers along with the corresponding audit processes.
• Conducting human rights risk assessments throughout the value chain.
• Ensuring compliance with current and forthcoming regulatory requirements, especially concerning the EU Supply Chain Directive / CSDDD.
• Accountability for ESG reporting and disclosure obligations, including CSRD and UN Global Compact.
• Guaranteeing data quality, consistency, and transparency across ESG systems and tools.
• Managing compliance with ESG ratings and standards, such as EcoVadis.
• Acting as the central ESG contact for private equity owners, investors, rating agencies, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
• Preparation of ESG-related materials for board meetings, roadshows, and investor communications.
• Enhancing Kelvion's ESG equity story in anticipation of a potential IPO or sale.
• Monitoring ESG KPIs and performance metrics while benchmarking against competitors.
• Identifying areas for improvement and promoting innovation as well as ESG competencies throughout the organization.
• Completed degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, business administration, or a related field; a further advanced degree is desirable.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in ESG, sustainability, or related fields.
• Proven success in leading global ESG or transformation initiatives.
• Experience in complex, international matrix organizations.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent understanding of relevant ESG standards and ratings, such as CSRD, UN Global Compact, EcoVadis, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, or S&P CSA.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities, along with the capacity to translate ESG topics into business-relevant actions.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and strong influencing capabilities across various hierarchical levels, functions, and cultures.
• Experience in leading change programs and building global ESG communities.
• High level of personal responsibility, implementation strength, and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills, along with a cooperative, structured, and results-oriented leadership style.
• Proficient in both German and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
