This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Delivering senior-level leadership, guidance, and managerial skills to the manufacturing and engineering sector of a worldwide Chemicals Business Unit.
• Overseeing multiple global manufacturing locations and managing the manufacturing landscape to ensure readiness of processes and capabilities.
• Administering the business capital plan, and developing and executing capital projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, product quality, warehousing, safety, environmental concerns, and customer service.
• Guaranteeing technical expertise and consistency on a global scale while optimizing division profitability through improved process techniques, new product lines, manufacturing implementation, plant upgrades, and ongoing maintenance programs.
• Leading structured change management initiatives throughout the manufacturing network, ensuring the successful integration of new operating models, capital initiatives, technology enhancements, organizational shifts, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Facilitating productivity improvements across global manufacturing operations by recognizing and implementing opportunities for cost reduction, yield enhancement, energy efficiency, labor optimization, throughput increases, asset utilization, and waste minimization, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, OEE, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Advocating for EHS excellence in process safety management, risk mitigation, and incident prevention across all manufacturing facilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for 25% - 30% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline - a degree in chemical engineering is preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in Plant Management, with both US and global responsibilities across multiple sites.
• Expertise in employee and labor relations, with experience in both unionized and non-unionized settings; familiarity with collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, mediation, arbitration, and works councils is highly desirable.
• Strong chemical process knowledge - possessing in-depth technical skills and understanding related to production operations within a plant.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes - capable of analyzing manufacturing and business procedures for optimization using continuous process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Practices).
• Experience in cultivating diverse talent and building effective and collaborative teams; excellent people development capabilities with the ability to guide a global operations and engineering management team.
• Financial and Statistical Acumen - capable of interpreting and analyzing statistical data, information, and financial reports. Proficient in making decisions based on financial statements, costing methodologies, and various methods of cost/benefit analysis.
• Regulatory Compliance Understanding - able to navigate and operate within various local and regional regulatory safety, environmental, quality, and financial regulations, standards, and laws as required for specific locations, regions, or countries.
