• The Global Commodity Manager (GCM) is accountable for the comprehensive strategy, sourcing execution, and supplier management for intricate, engineered, and high-value commodity categories including steel structures, conveyors, and various custom-fabricated systems.
• Develop and uphold multi-year strategies for sourcing, cost reduction, capacity, and supplier development.
• Shape supplier investment decisions, manufacturing capabilities, and capacity planning to facilitate business growth.
• Formulate and implement global commodity strategies that are in alignment with business goals, growth projections, and project pipeline requirements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field is required, or considerable relevant experience.
• 7–12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or category management.
• Profound expertise in complex engineered categories such as structural steel, fabricated systems, automation equipment, industrial manufacturing, construction materials, or custom assemblies.
• Strong technical proficiency with the capability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven success in managing high-value, high-risk, and capacity-constrained supplier ecosystems.
• Demonstrated experience in leading intricate commercial negotiations and establishing long-term supplier agreements.
• Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation abilities.
• Experience in global sourcing environments is preferred.
