Global Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Development and execution of global strategies across multiple indirect procurement categories.

• Transitioning from country-led sourcing to category-driven management.

• Managing the procurement lifecycle in alignment with corporate objectives.

• Building strategic relationships with suppliers.

• Promoting procurement methods based on best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.

• 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in indirect procurement or category management.

• A solid understanding of management, auditing, and governance requirements.

• Experience working in large, matrixed organizations.

• Expertise in multiple indirect procurement categories.

• Excellent communication skills in English are essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

• Ability in strategic negotiation and contract management.

• Familiarity with procurement platforms and analytical tools.
