Glass Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Prepare comprehensive quantity takeoffs and precise cost estimates specifically for commercial glass, glazing, and storefront systems.

• Oversee the entire bid documentation process, ensuring that all bid preparation requirements and local regulations are thoroughly fulfilled.

• Calculate precise labor cost estimates, project timelines, and logistical factors, including specialized evaluations for high-rise projects that necessitate swing stages and lifts.

• Lead outreach to vendors and manage requests for quotes (RFQs), fostering and maintaining strong relationships with major U.S. suppliers such as YKK, US Aluminum/CR Lawrence, and Old Castle Building Envelope.

• Assist with pre-construction logistics, compile necessary submittals, and manage RFIs to facilitate a smooth transition to operations teams.

• Use Bloom & Beam OST software (or equivalent estimating platforms) to keep organized, data-centric pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in glass and glazing estimating for U.S. construction projects, OR a solid background in Civil Engineering with applicable structural estimating skills.

• Practical experience with estimating software—Bloom & Beam OST is highly preferred, though alternative takeoff platforms may also be considered.

• Strong capability to read and interpret intricate architectural and structural plans, assess labor dynamics, and manage multi-million-dollar bids.

• Excellent English communication abilities (both written and verbal) for effective internal collaboration and vendor engagement.

• Full-time availability strictly aligned with U.S. Central Time (CT) operations.

• Previous experience with hurricane-resistant building systems or projects in the Gulf Coast, Caribbean, or Puerto Rico markets is a significant advantage.
