GitLab Administrator / Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Perform a manual migration of 88 existing service accounts from standard user accounts to native platform service accounts.

• Rotate, replace, and configure API tokens, SSH keys, and service credentials within CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

• Securely decommission outdated access.

• Update and replicate detailed permissions, group access, and project-level scopes for automation identities.

• Troubleshoot, test, and resolve CI/CD pipeline and automation integration issues during token transitions.

• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and project teams to clarify resource ownership and ensure post-migration pipeline functionality.

• Systematically process repetitive, parallel identity migration tasks and operational tickets while maintaining audit trails.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in managing GitLab or enterprise VCS platforms at scale.

• Direct experience in constructing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

• Established background in rotating, updating, and replacing credentials/tokens embedded in automation pipelines, along with secure access decommissioning.

• Experience in managing, migrating, or configuring service accounts, system users, and automation identities.

• Familiarity with configuring RBAC, project permissions, and group-level access for automation accounts.

• Mid- to Senior-Level experience in DevOps, System Administration, or IAM engineering.

• Direct experience with enterprise IAM migrations, permission replication, or platform token cutovers (preferred).

• Experience in identifying and addressing credential exposure or insecure account configurations (preferred).

• Ability to handle repetitive, high-volume migration tasks across multiple teams/projects simultaneously (preferred).

• Strong interpersonal skills to resolve ambiguous resource ownership issues and coordinate with distributed technical teams (preferred).

• Minimum of 6 hours of overlap with US Central Time (CT) business hours during a standard 8-hour workday.

• Proficiency in English for interviews, technical documentation, daily team syncs, and operational communications.
