GIS Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +19 more states.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with development teams to incorporate interactive mapping functionalities into enterprise SaaS applications, providing user-friendly spatial solutions across various platforms.

• Strategize the development, enhancement, and maintenance of GIS software, databases, web applications, and interfaces.

• Create software utilizing the .NET framework and Angular in conjunction with GIS products.

• Offer technical expertise for desktop, server, and mobile applications.

• Integrate applications with other enterprise systems and/or the enterprise Service Oriented Architecture.

• Act as a key technical authority in the development of Esri Enterprise, AGOL, Pro, and mobile applications.

• Serve as a technical consultant for upgrading and enhancing existing GIS applications across various business sectors.

• Lead technical initiatives by guiding team members and ensuring timely and budget-conscious product delivery.

• Aid in identifying and nurturing the skills and capabilities of team members to foster their professional development.

• Engage in and direct aspects of GIS projects, including defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

• Clearly and comprehensively document technical specifications, system processes, data models, and operational procedures.

• Manage geospatial data (including Big Data) using Python and/or PostgreSQL.

• Combine spatial and non-spatial data from various sources.

• Design and execute data automation scripts and workflows (e.g., using Python, SQL) to enhance efficiency in data processing and management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in geographic information science (GIS), Geography, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or related fields.

• Over 3 years of experience in ArcGIS development or custom geospatial software development using open-source products.

• Proficiency in GIS development (AGOL, Enterprise).

• Experience in database development (PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL Server, MongoDB).

• Skills in web development (Vue.js, Node.js, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS).

• Competence in API development (C#, Java, or Python).

• Familiarity with desktop applications (ArcGIS Pro).
