German Payroll Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Accountable for providing support to the country while leveraging functional and technical expertise to assist operational teams.

• Aid Managers in client engagement by ensuring all information is precise and delivered in a timely manner.

• Contribute to the Sales process to guarantee that the scope of services is achievable.

• Offer guidance on all implementations and go-lives, ensuring that automation and standards are appropriately applied.

• Drive projects aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and overall business performance.

• Deliver daily functional assistance to teams to ensure successful payroll execution.

• Maintain the Country Solution workbook.

• Oversee the legislation roadmap and ensure the team is well-informed about any changes.

• Address Technical/Functional issues escalated by the team.

• Collaborate with Operational Management to roll out automation and enhancement initiatives.

• Ensure that Year End deadlines are successfully met.

• Identify opportunities for upselling.

• Assist Management with client escalations and lessons learned.

• Facilitate team member upskilling through training and coaching.

• Comply with Alight Security Standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of various inputs and outputs, including third-party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, and benefits.

• Capability to identify and address risks effectively.

• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Adaptability to thrive in a global and fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven with a strong desire to learn.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently, while adhering to established processes and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Payroll administration within an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing, or Corporate setting.

• Expert-level knowledge of payroll processes, practices, and relevant legislation.
