This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assess AI-generated lyrics for their quality, creativity, coherence, originality, adherence to prompts, and musical context.

• Spot awkward wording, repetitive phrasing, weak imagery, unnatural language, and stylistic inconsistencies.

• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs and reference materials to evaluate similarities and derivative patterns.

• Analyze German vocabulary, slang, colloquial expressions, regional usage, idiomaticity, and cultural authenticity.

• Evaluate lyrics according to the intended genres, sub-genres, musical styles, target audiences, tones, and performance contexts.

• Consistently apply comprehensive evaluation guidelines to AI-generated outputs.

• Provide clear ratings and structured written feedback.

• Identify recurring weaknesses in the model concerning language, creativity, originality, and cultural nuances.

• Offer specialized music and language expertise to enhance generative AI systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in the German language.

• Strong comprehension of detailed written instructions in English.

• Professional experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, music journalist, or a closely related music professional.

• In-depth knowledge of the German music scene.

• Excellent grasp of natural German phrasing, slang, idiomatic expressions, and cultural nuances.

• Strong analytical judgment in evaluating lyrical quality and originality.

• Access to headphones or studio monitors appropriate for critical listening.

• Broad familiarity with contemporary German genres, sub-genres, and artists.

• Ability to work independently and consistently apply detailed evaluation criteria.

• Formal training in music performance, theory, composition, or songwriting is a plus.

• Credited or published songwriting work is highly regarded.

• Candidates may be required to complete a German bilingual competency assessment during onboarding.

• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
