This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the planning, design, execution, and ongoing enhancement of outreach, engagement, and training initiatives supporting the DHS Geospatial Management Office (GMO) programs.
• Accountable for stakeholder engagement, development of training materials, communication strategies, and ensuring that all digital content is accessible and compliant.
• Act as the main point of contact for coordinating outreach efforts.
• Assist in government-hosted events and manage tasks related to web and graphic publishing.
• Design, develop, and deliver training sessions, briefings, and demonstrations of geospatial products tailored to the needs of stakeholders.
• Organize and coordinate communications with stakeholders, including messaging, strategic planning, and preparation of materials.
• Ensure adherence to Section 508 accessibility standards and DHS web and graphic publishing guidelines.
• Provide continuous customer outreach, address inquiries, and facilitate access to geospatial information.
• Monitor and respond to stakeholder requirements using automated management systems.
• Create, publish, and manage content on websites and digital platforms related to the program.
• Evaluate and improve strategies for stakeholder engagement.
• Supervise and lead junior staff involved in outreach and training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Communications, Instructional Design, or a similar field.
• Over 7 years of pertinent experience in GIS outreach, geospatial training, communications, or stakeholder engagement.
• Proven experience in delivering geospatial presentations, technical briefings, or training materials to varied audiences.
• Established ability to troubleshoot and convey complex technical GIS issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards for digital content.
• Experience in supporting similar tasks for federal or large-scale government projects with significant size, scope, and complexity.
• Proficient in graphic design, video editing, or e-learning tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Storyline).
