Geospatial Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain enterprise-level geospatial applications and GIS services.

• Design and implement APIs and automation solutions for GIS workflows.

• Integrate ArcGIS systems with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

• Enhance spatial databases, map services, and geoprocessing processes.

• Diagnose and rectify application, platform, and spatial data challenges.

• Establish and enforce geospatial architecture standards and best practices.

• Build reusable geospatial services, scripts, and components.

• Maintain a centralized repository of reusable GIS assets.

• Create technical documentation and facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide scalable geospatial solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Information Technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in geospatial application development and enterprise GIS support.

• Extensive experience with Esri technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcPy, ArcGIS REST API, ArcGIS API for Python, and ArcGIS API for JavaScript.

• Proficiency in Python and geospatial libraries such as GeoPandas, Shapely, Rasterio, GDAL/OGR, and Fiona.

• Experience with spatial databases like PostgreSQL/PostGIS.

• Familiarity with open-source GIS tools such as QGIS, GeoServer, and MapServer.

• Experience in developing geospatial web applications using technologies like React, Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox GL JS, or MapLibre.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing geospatial APIs and automation frameworks.

• Strong understanding of spatial data services, coordinate reference systems (CRS), and OGC standards.

• Experience integrating GIS platforms with AWS and Azure cloud services.

• Background in Agile software development methodologies.
