This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Apply your mineralogical knowledge to generate training data by masking pixels in images containing identified sulfide minerals.
• Work in conjunction with the R&D team to enhance and optimize the model’s recognition abilities.
• Perform performance assessments of the Sulfide Finder by evaluating its outputs through visual inspection.
• Record observations, findings, and feedback to facilitate ongoing improvements in the model and workflow.
• Engage in team meetings to share insights regarding potential geological trends in model behavior and participate in discussions related to operational workflows.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a related discipline.
• Strong skills in mineral identification, particularly with sulfides and knowledge of ore bodies.
• Preferred experience in core logging or similar mineral identification roles.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Understanding of computer vision AI concepts and their applications in geology.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
• Capability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
