Genomic Analyst – PJ Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Direct engagement with the Medical team.

• Analysis and reporting on various genetic laboratory methods, such as chromosomal arrays, MLPA, next-generation sequencing (NGS), Sanger sequencing, among others, conducted either externally or internally.

• Assistance to various teams at Mendelics, including customer service, sales, marketing, and others.

• Other tasks/issues pertaining to the medical sector.

• Act as the primary communication liaison for the medical department.

• Involvement in events, conferences, courses, trainings, and others as necessary (both remote and in-person).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy-Biochemistry, or related fields.

• Postgraduate degree (Master's/PhD) and/or other specializations in genetics (preferred).

• Technical expertise in molecular biology and genetics.

• Familiarity with the principal tests in molecular genetics.

• Strong passion for Human Genetics and Genomic Medicine (essential).

• Prior experience in Human Genetics (essential).

• Interest in NGS data analysis and other molecular techniques (essential).

• Experience in the post-analytical phase of NGS and SNP-array (preferred).

• Strong organizational skills, teamwork, and the ability to collaborate with other departments and clients.

• Sense of urgency.

• Demonstrated prior experience/knowledge of the required skills (minimum 2 years).

• Active CRBio or equivalent (preferred).
