Generator Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the upkeep of generators, including diagnosing and rectifying issues, as well as installing and replacing components or complete systems.

• Carrying out additional maintenance or upgrades on equipment not in use during off-peak seasons.

• Performing regular performance evaluations and maintenance on generators to ensure they are always ready for operation.

• Interpreting and adhering to blueprints or design specifications for installation or repairs.

• Installing fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, along with other necessary components.

• Conducting tests to ensure proper functionality.

• Quickly responding to Power/Generator alarms and being available on call 24/7 when required.

• Carrying out tasks with an understanding of all potential hazards associated with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment.

• Utilizing safety equipment and adhering to safety practices.

• Participating in all required safety and training meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.

• At least one year of significant work-related experience with software, hardware, and processes relevant to generator and electrical maintenance.

• Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair.

• Understanding of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.

• Basic familiarity with relevant FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
