This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the maintenance of generators, troubleshoot and fix issues, install or replace components or complete systems, and carry out maintenance or upgrades.
• Execute performance evaluations and routine upkeep on generators.
• Interpret and adhere to blueprints and design specifications for installations and repairs.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and additional components.
• Evaluate equipment to ensure it operates correctly.
• React swiftly to power/generator alarms and manage assigned phone and email inquiries.
• Conduct work safely in the proximity of installation and maintenance risks.
• Utilize safety gear and adhere to safety protocols.
• Participate in required safety and training sessions.
• Service and repair commercial generators located on cell phone towers within the designated area.
• At least one year of substantial work experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes.
• Preferably two or more years of experience in generator maintenance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Basic understanding of relevant FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
• Capability to adhere to OSHA Standards.
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and remain standing for extended durations.
• Proficient in inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and alarms both visually and audibly.
• Readiness to drive long distances and work during day, evening, or night hours.
• Willingness to work overtime, respond to emergency callouts, and be available on weekends and holidays as needed.
• Capacity to be on-call 24 hours when assigned.
• Ability to be away from home for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to successfully complete a DOT physical examination.
