Generator Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Responsible for maintaining generators, diagnosing and resolving issues, installing or replacing components or entire systems, and executing additional maintenance or upgrades on off-season equipment.

• Carry out performance checks and routine maintenance on generators to ensure they are in optimal working condition, while interpreting and adhering to blueprints or other design specifications for installations or repairs.

• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, as well as other components, and test them to confirm proper functioning.

• Take prompt action in response to Power/Generator alarms; must be available for on-call duties 24/7 if required, and respond quickly to assigned phone calls and emails.

• Execute tasks with a comprehensive understanding of all potential hazards associated with the installation and upkeep of power supply equipment, switching gear, and similar equipment, including but not limited to risks of falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic; utilize safety equipment and implement safety practices; attend and engage in all mandated safety and training meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in generator maintenance is preferred.

• At least one year of substantial work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.

• Extensive knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repairs.

• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

• Moderate proficiency in computer skills.

• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
