Generator Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the upkeep of generators, identifying and resolving issues, installing and replacing parts or entire systems, and carrying out additional maintenance or upgrades on equipment during off-seasons.

• Perform performance assessments and routine maintenance on generators to guarantee optimal readiness, interpreting and adhering to blueprints or other design specifications for installations and repairs.

• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, followed by testing to ensure proper functionality.

• Accountable for promptly responding to Power/Generator alarms; must be available for on-call duties 24/7 if required and respond quickly to assigned phone and email communications.

• Execute work while being cognizant of all potential hazards associated with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other apparatus, which include, but are not limited to, risks of falls, electric shock, falling objects, and traffic; employ safety equipment and adhere to safety protocols; attend and engage in all designated safety and training meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in generator maintenance is preferred.

• At least one year of substantial work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.

• Comprehensive understanding of generator installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.

• Familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.

• Intermediate computer skills.

• Basic understanding of relevant FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.
