This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Accountable for the continuous upkeep and repair of both contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment.
β’ Deliver technical assistance to clients regarding operational or maintenance inquiries.
β’ Engage in daily travel with a self-directed work schedule.
β’ Provide 24/7 βon-callβ services as necessary, except when on PTO or Off Call.
β’ Maintain and protect company-issued tools, equipment, and instruments.
β’ Execute necessary preventative maintenance services for contracted equipment as per schedule.
β’ Interact and communicate with customers effectively.
β’ Relay availability status to the corporate office.
β’ Keep the company vehicle in a safe and functional state.
β’ Ensure that all work complies with PSS standards.
β’ Accurately and promptly complete all necessary documentation, including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Reports, and other job-related reports.
β’ Level II Technician: Requires three years of field experience in servicing generator systems, including some experience with 500kw and above.
β’ Proficient Level III Technician: Requires six years of field experience in servicing generator systems, with extensive expertise in 500KW and above.
β’ Skilled in preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, ATS repairs, controller retrofits, and Loadbanking equipment.
β’ Level IV Technician: Requires ten years of field experience servicing generator systems of various sizes and applications.
β’ Expert in preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, retrofitting advanced controls, and Loadbanking equipment.
β’ High school diploma or GED equivalent; related military experience or equivalent field experience preferred.
β’ Familiarity with Volvo and PSI engines.
β’ Operational and functional knowledge of Automatic Transfer Systems.
β’ Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities.
β’ Ability to engage with customers where tact is necessary.
