This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
⢠Availability for at least one (1) approximately 60-day rotation OCONUS annually, along with additional training and screening events.
⢠Engage in acute care surgery within austere and resource-limited environments.
⢠Collaborate with other team members to conduct examinations, establish diagnoses, and determine treatment plans and surgical interventions, including damage control surgery for patients with surgical-related injuries or conditions.
⢠Offer consultation and expert advice to patients and clients as the surgical subject matter expert.
⢠Execute necessary surgical procedures.
⢠Oversee and manage direct patient care, which includes surgical critical care and damage control surgical interventions.
⢠Supervise nursing and support staff during resuscitation, perioperative, and post-operative care phases.
⢠Accurately document the care provided and complete medical records in compliance with VIGILINT policy.
⢠Plan and potentially conduct Critical Care Air Transport (CCAT) missions for ICU-level patients.
⢠Depending on qualifications and experience, may assume a leadership role.
⢠Carry out special staff functions as required.
⢠Provide medical training and instruction as requested.
⢠Active SECRET or higher security clearance.
⢠Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States or U.S. Territory.
⢠Current Board Certification from the American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery.
⢠Active civilian practice to maintain clinical proficiency during non-deployed periods.
⢠A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a staff or attending Surgeon in a high-volume/high-acuity or critical access environment.
⢠Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited U.S. medical or osteopathic school.
⢠At least eight (8) years of experience as a Surgeon.
⢠A minimum of five (5) years of U.S. Military or Government Sponsored experience.
⢠U.S. Military or Government Sponsored deployment within the last three years in an austere environment with combat-like conditions.
⢠Successful candidates may be invited for an in-person evaluation process.
⢠Experience must include deployment in austere and combat-like settings in Role 1, 2, or 3 facilities.
⢠Must be a United States citizen.
⢠Current ACLS, PALS, & BLS certifications through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
⢠Current and unrestricted DEA license.
⢠Valid United States Passport that will not expire within one year of employment.
⢠Capability to lift 150 pounds with assistance, carry 80 pounds for a distance of 30 feet, and push/pull over 200 pounds, while meeting the anthropometric standards of the assigned platform.
