This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
• Develop and spearhead the go-to-market strategy for the Middle East.
• Oversee the growth strategy for the Middle East across targeted markets, segments, and key verticals.
• Identify the most effective Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), customer use cases, and opportunities for market entry.
• Generate local momentum through direct sales, partnerships, customer relations, and ecosystem enhancement.
• Convert market insights into actionable inputs for GTM, Product, Partnerships, and Customer Success Management (CSM).
• Propel revenue and customer growth initiatives.
• Take responsibility for regional revenue outcomes in new business, expansion, and strategic customer ventures.
• Collaborate closely with the Account Executive (AE), CSM, and Partner Manager to enhance pipeline, conversion, adoption, and retention.
• Focus on high-potential opportunities, ensuring the team is aligned with the appropriate customer segments.
• Assist in customer interactions, demonstrations, commercial negotiations, and executive engagement as necessary.
• Establish the local partner and ecosystem strategy.
• Cultivate relationships with agencies, technology partners, WhatsApp/Meta ecosystem participants, digital transformation partners, and local business networks.
• Discover partnership opportunities that can lead to higher-value customer engagements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance partner enablement, co-selling, and co-marketing initiatives.
• Assess where partnerships can yield significant revenue compared to where direct GTM is more advantageous.
• Adapt Wati’s market strategy.
• Possess a robust understanding of Middle Eastern customer expectations, purchasing behavior, language requirements, and local business practices.
• Influence how Wati positions WhatsApp automation, AI agents, customer engagement, and conversational commerce in the region.
• Identify the necessity for Arabic-language capabilities, local presence, or market-specific enablement.
• Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing Manager (PMM), and CSM to enhance local customer education, onboarding, and adoption processes.
• Drive cross-functional execution.
• Work closely with Sales, CSM, Partnerships, Solutions Engineering (SE), Account Management (AM), Implementation, Product, PMM, and Revenue Operations (RevOps).
• Ensure clear accountability throughout the regional team and shared resources.
• Establish a robust operating framework around pipeline management, customer feedback, onboarding, adoption, revenue risks, and market insights.
• Provide structured feedback to leadership regarding successes, obstacles, and necessary changes.
• Over 8 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, including GTM, sales, partnerships, country management, regional management, or business development.
• Extensive experience in the Middle East market, preferably across the UAE, KSA, and the wider GCC region.
• Background in selling or scaling SaaS, MarTech, CPaaS, customer engagement, conversational commerce, AI, automation, CRM, support technology, or related B2B tech products.
• Demonstrable success in generating revenue in emerging or developing markets.
• Strong skills in customer interactions, including executive discussions, demonstrations, negotiations, and relationship management.
• Familiarity with working alongside partners, agencies, channel ecosystems, or local market networks.
• Solid operational discipline in managing pipeline, forecasting, prioritization, follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, uncertain environment with a high degree of ownership.

• Proficiency in Arabic or experience managing markets where Arabic is spoken.
• Knowledge of WhatsApp Business API, the Meta ecosystem, messaging platforms, CPaaS, customer engagement platforms, or AI agents.
• Experience in building a market from the ground up or leading initial regional expansion efforts.
• Background in SMB/mid-market SaaS strategies, including sales-assisted, partner-led, and self-serve approaches.
• Experience operating within a lean regional pod framework with shared central resources.
• Established network within Middle Eastern SaaS, agencies, digital transformation, Meta/WhatsApp ecosystem, e-commerce, or customer engagement sectors.
