General Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Algeria.

📋 Description

• Governance of Joint Ventures

• Ensure comprehensive comprehension and implementation of all governing agreements, such as the Shareholders’ Agreement and Bylaws

• Organize and facilitate Board of Directors (BOD) meetings and Shareholder Assemblies in collaboration with the Chairman and JV Legal Counsel

• Create and execute an annual governance calendar

• Define the Joint Venture's strategy, formalize it into business plans, secure BOD approval, and drive execution

• Develop and obtain Board approval for the annual budget

• Foster strong governance relationships with stakeholders from GE Vernova and Sonelgaz

• Design, implement, and continuously enhance the JV organization

• Build and lead the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

• Define and execute the JV strategy, business plans, and roadmaps

• Ensure full compliance with environmental and industrial hygiene requirements

• Maintain a strong Quality Management System (QMS)

• Ensure operational excellence across Commercial operations, Project execution, Supply chain, and Manufacturing

• Supervise customer relationships and commercial negotiations.

• Manage production planning and align supplier capacity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Engineering qualifications: MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field is advantageous.

• Extensive experience as a General Manager of an independent legal entity with complete P&L accountability, covering revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, capex, and working capital

• Proven leadership in managing a complex industrial manufacturing operation, overseeing plant, supply chain, quality, EHS, and project execution

• Experience interacting with Boards, shareholders, or JV partners, including governance, budget approval, and strategic alignment

• Demonstrated commercial acumen, encompassing contract negotiation, customer engagement, and risk management

• Experience in leading industrialization, localization, capacity ramp-up, or site expansion projects

• Executive leadership presence with strong capabilities in stakeholder management

• Proficiency in Arabic, French, and English

• Must be willing to relocate to Algeria and spend considerable time on-site in Batna.
