General Liability Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assesses coverage and identifies coverage-related issues pertaining to various claims

• Issues relevant Reservation of Rights and/or declination letters

• Establishes and maintains effective professional relationships with insured parties and other stakeholders in the claims process

• Reviews claims and their status with clients and brokers as needed

• Gathers and prepares the essential documentation for the timely verification of losses and claims administration

• Adheres to established policies, procedures, and processes when compiling information

• Ensures the precision of the information collected

• Reviews, interprets, and assesses medical bills and/or reports to evaluate damages

• Manages litigation activities and claim outcomes while considering the overall effect on the customer and the company

• Analyzes contracts and agreements to assess risk transfer

• Participates in special projects and activities as required

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the claims profession

• A valid NY Adjuster's license

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge and critical thinking abilities

• Strong skills in litigation management

• Detail-oriented and analytical

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability
