General Education Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver 11-week live, online courses utilizing engaging, student-focused teaching methods.

• Create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages active learning and student involvement.

• Offer prompt and constructive feedback, addressing student inquiries within a 24-hour timeframe.

• Conduct weekly office hours to enhance student comprehension and foster community connections.

• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to jointly manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement strategies.

• Assess student performance, maintain grading records, and submit evaluations at mid-quarter and the end of the quarter.

• Work with colleagues and Campus staff to exchange best practices and continually refine teaching methods.

• Participate in co-curricular initiatives (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enhance the student experience.

• Remain informed about industry and educational trends relevant to your subject and online instruction, including the effective integration of AI tools within our curriculum.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in your field of expertise.

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college or university level.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management abilities.

• Proficiency with digital tools and platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and video conferencing software.

• Digital fluency with the capability to effectively integrate AI-driven educational tools into teaching.

• A proactive, dependable approach, committed to delivering high-quality online education.

• A strong dedication to equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.

• Availability to dedicate 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training sessions.
