General Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Maintain precise financial records and generate reports that align with government tax regulations and company accounting standards.

• Efficiently process a high volume of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions with accuracy.

• Reconcile accounts and bank statements, addressing discrepancies and escalating issues as necessary.

• Manage account reconciliations throughout the month-end closing process.

• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting controls.

• Follow company policies and procedures diligently.

• Achieve or surpass performance targets related to key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Enhance your understanding of products, services, and processes by engaging in training programs and continuous learning opportunities.

• Collaborate with other departments as needed.

• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards both customers and colleagues at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent trade qualification.

• At least three (3) years of experience in general accounting, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping, ideally in an outsourced services setting.

• Strong grasp of fundamental bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.

• Solid understanding of business and income tax worksheets and calculations.

• Demonstrated ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records effectively.

• Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and judgment skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational capabilities, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work independently, and perform well under pressure.

• Preferred qualifications: CPA or CMA.

• Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP.

• Experience with Sage Intacct (QuickBooks) or similar accounting software.
