General Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage daily accounting functions, which include accruals and entries in the general ledger.

• Generate precise and timely financial statements, analyses, and management reports.

• Reconcile bank statements, payroll, and ensure accurate monitoring of cash flow.

• Execute full-cycle closing processes at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, encompassing journal entries and reconciliations.

• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and perform variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.

• Work collaboratively with external auditors during audits and ensure comprehensive documentation is provided.

• Continuously enhance accounting procedures and processes to boost efficiency.

• Oversee project budgets, costs, and billing in partnership with the project management team.

• Confirm that revenue and expenses are accurately attributed to the respective projects and calculate revenue accruals/deferrals based on the percentage of completion.

• Demonstrated experience in accounting or a comparable financial position.

• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, MS Dynamics, or similar platforms.

• Advanced skills in Excel for financial analysis and reporting tasks.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

• Exceptional analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.

• Capability to prioritize assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with ERP systems or financial management applications.

• Experience within the audit sector, software technology, or cybersecurity industry is advantageous.

• Knowledge of international accounting standards and tax compliance is preferred.
