This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement comprehensive training programs for team members, concentrating on GDS platforms and Travel Management Company (TMC) practices.
• Design training materials, documentation, and presentations for GDS systems, specifically Worldspan and Travelport+.
• Ensure that training aligns with key performance indicators (KPIs) and other essential objectives for effective learning and development.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and optimize training processes.
• Evaluate, monitor, and report on the effectiveness of training, making adjustments as necessary to achieve team and organizational goals.
• Conduct training sessions, including both live (in-person and virtual) and e-learning formats, to boost team performance.
• Proactively assess training needs based on performance metrics and provide appropriate solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in GDS, and best practices in travel management to enhance training programs continuously.
• Develop engaging and dynamic training content and presentations.
• Track and report on training outcomes and learner performance, offering coaching and support as required.
• Work in collaboration with other trainers, managers, and stakeholders to maintain the quality and consistency of training programs and services.
• Act as a backup Consultant for other accounts and clients as assigned.
• Must be open to remote work from a designated home office, with occasional travel to training locations.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of experience in training and development within the travel sector.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical users across various organizational levels.
• Prior experience in training, ideally within the travel industry or related to GDS systems.
• Proficient in using and instructing others on various GDS systems, including Worldspan, Travelport+, Sabre, Galileo, or Amadeus.
• Strong knowledge of team travel processes, particularly relating to Travel Management Company (TMC) operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of training KPIs and deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance training effectiveness and throughput.
• Experience in designing and delivering end-to-end process training in a travel-focused environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple training initiatives concurrently.
• Expertise in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
