This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.
• Implementing gameplay systems for a variety of projects and games utilizing the provided engine and available software (Unreal 4 or proprietary engines).
• Collaborating iteratively with Game Designers to deliver high-quality outcomes and proactively resolve issues.
• Equipping game designers with the necessary tools and means to incorporate game systems into levels, adjust gameplay values according to their preferences, and more.
• Regularly assessing integrated gameplay systems to prevent excessive performance costs and optimizing them.
• Documenting the development of features and systems in technical design documents that detail the implementation approach.
• Aiding in the integration of art and audio assets for pertinent tasks.
• Diagnosing the causes of reported bugs and issues and collaborating with Quality Assurance to resolve them.
• Prototyping features and exploring potential projects.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in a video game company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Unreal 4.
• Proficient in C++ in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with common software architectural patterns.
• Experience with proprietary in-house C++ engines.
• At least one shipped title released on consoles in a gameplay programming capacity.
• Comprehensive knowledge of development tools utilized for console game development.
