This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Evaluate and confirm subcontractor proposals, conduct bid leveling, and compare pricing with industry standards.
• Contribute insights on cost estimates, escalation predictions, and procurement strategies.
• Analyze and negotiate change orders considering cost implications and scheduling effects.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure alignment with design intent, specifications, and regulations.
• Detect coordination challenges with MEP, stone, metal, glass, and AV trades.
• Supervise the approval processes for mockups and samples.
• Suggest material alternatives, fabrication methods, and finishing systems for value engineering purposes.
• Recognize opportunities for standardization and modularization.
• Provide insights on millwork supply chains, lead times, and labor availability.
• Counsel on packaging strategies and items for early release.
• Verify fabrication and installation timelines while identifying critical path risks.
• Offer advice on site logistics, storage solutions, and acclimatization needs.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, fire ratings, ADA standards, and sustainability measures.
• Set up QA/QC protocols and acceptance standards.
• Comply with SOX control responsibilities when applicable.
• Present findings and recommendations to the owner, design team, and contractors.
• Maintain risk registers, value engineering logs, and reporting dashboards for millwork packages.
• Over 10 years of experience in architectural millwork for luxury hospitality, gaming, or high-end commercial projects.
• Demonstrated history of advising owners or working in a consultancy role on large-scale developments.
• Strong technical expertise in millwork fabrication, finishes, substrates, and installation techniques.
• Proficient in shop drawing evaluation, bid analysis, and change order assessment.
• Knowledgeable about codes, fire ratings, ADA, and sustainability standards.
• Skilled in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Preferred: Experience with casino or resort projects featuring complex millwork packages.
• Preferred: Understanding of integrated finishes and coordination with specialized trades.
