Funding Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete funding delivery process for Upstart's auto lending products, ensuring that funded loans are accurately and promptly delivered to lending partners and investors.

• Design and enhance funding delivery processes, controls, and operational reporting to boost funding success rates, minimize exceptions, and ensure regulatory compliance as the organization expands.

• Analyze funding exceptions, delivery failures, and reconciliation challenges through root cause analysis and collaborate with various teams to implement effective, sustainable solutions.

• Set and uphold quality standards for loan files, guaranteeing that documentation and data consistently align with the requirements of lending partners, investors, and regulatory authorities for saleability and downstream servicing.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Capital Markets, Servicing, Compliance, Engineering, and external stakeholders to create scalable funding workflows and foster ongoing process enhancements.

• Create metrics, dashboards, and performance reports to ensure transparency in funding health, identify operational risks, and guide business decisions while responsibly utilizing AI-enabled tools to enhance documentation, reporting, and exception analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in lending operations, loan funding, capital markets operations, or financial services operations.

• Proven experience managing loan funding, delivery, investor reporting, or post-origination operational processes.

• Proficient in using operational metrics and data to explore process challenges and implement enhancements.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating cross-functionally across capital markets, engineering, servicing, product, and compliance teams.

• Ability to leverage AI-enabled tools responsibly to expedite exception analysis, documentation, reporting, and operational process improvements while exercising appropriate human judgment.
